Richard Bruton is an experienced Deputy representing Dublin North Central, a Research Economist by profession and an influential member of key Committees in the Dáil.

Wide Policy Experience

He has held eight different portfolios on the Fine Gael Front Bench and chairs the key policy development committee for the Party. Richard is Deputy Leader and Spokesperson on Finance.

Government Record

Richard was the key negotiator of the deal, which formed the Rainbow government. He held the pivotal cabinet post of Minister for Enterprise & Employment in the years 1994-97, and was President of the European Industrial Council 1996.
